You know your visitors and customers love videos (and Google too), but you are concerned that videos will slow down your product page.
Display a video’s snapshot and, using JavaScript, embed the video on demand when the user clicks it. Light pages, great UX, improved SEO.
Any JavaScript programmer can easily implement these techniques called on-demand video embedding. Initially, the visitor is presented with a thumbnail or a screenshot of the video. Only when he clicks on the thumbnail to play the video a Javascript replaces the snapshot with the embedded video with exactly the same size. The operation, if correctly implemented, is invisible to the visitor, doesn’t affect their experience, but will let you have pages with an extremely low loading time.
