Table topics I wrote on October 22, 2019 for the Toastmasters Club Toast of Berkeley.
At every Toastmasters meeting, one section of the meeting is dedicated to an activity called Table Topics. The Table Topics Master of the evening proposes a list of topics and randomly assign a topic to each participant. Usually al the topics are based on a common theme, selected by the Table Topics Master. Each participant, who was not aware of the topic until that moment, has to improvise a 1-2 minutes speech. It’s always engaging and fun to improvise as well to listen to others improvising. I love to create lists of topics and see how people improvise on them. Here one of my list of topics.
Select one of the following absurd objects and sell it with your own words to the TM audience.
- Electric stone/rock
- Wheel-less bicycle
- Screen-less laptop
- 5 pounds of lost keys
- Windows 95 printed manual
- Miniature cage for ants
- Cat allergic to rats and mice
- New tickets for last year baseball games
