In June 2008, a young homeless couple with a dog was encountered in San Francisco, leading to a heartfelt photo and small donation. Shortly after, the man, Jami, died from an overdose. The image inspired poetry by S. Blair Fox and artwork by Thom Priemon, shedding light on homelessness and societal neglect.
Franco Folini is a marketing trainer and consultant with a background as an e-commerce entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. He taught at UC Berkeley Extension and currently teaches at the University of Strasbourg and Università della Montagna in Edolo, Italy.
