“Enshittification” by Cory Doctorow — Book Review

Enshittification is a great new book by Cory Doctorow about the hyper-aggressive, non-transparent use of technology by all major Internet players (and non-Internet players too). They are doing everything they can, and even what they should not be allowed to do, to maximize their profits. I was aware of most of it, but seeing all those perverse strategies listed together, aimed at taking away up to the last penny from us, is really shocking.
It’s not only about money, but also about our freedom, our privacy, and our country’s democratic system.

Cory Doctorow is an activist and member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Read the book, you will thank me later!
